This is where we’ll write about the work that happens around the shelf.
Not theory. The practical things retailers, distributors and suppliers deal with every week: range decisions that don’t quite land in store, planograms that drift, product data living in five different places, field teams working from last month’s version and expiry or returns that only surface once they have already become expensive.
We’ll focus on three areas.
First, the FMCG industry as it actually operates: category pressure, limited space, supplier-funded placements and the execution gaps that appear between head office and the shop floor.
Second, the challenges on both sides of the trade. Retailers need to decide what deserves space, then carry that decision consistently into every store. Distributors and suppliers need to establish a shelf standard, communicate it clearly and keep it consistent across the market.
Third, where ShelfGrid fits.
We’ll explain how the platform works in plain language: range and space planning, planograms, store and field execution, performance and controlled data exchange without asking businesses to rip out the ERP, POS or WMS systems they already depend on.
ShelfGrid Insights exists because a great deal of this work still happens between systems, spreadsheets, email and the physical store.
That gap is where we’ll write from.
If you work in retail or distribution and the shelf is part of your job, this is for you.
